Beer Game - Supply Chain Performance Simulation

  1. Do you have trouble grasping the concept of Supply Chain management?
  2. Or maybe you 'get it' but others in your organisation don't.
  3. Would you like to see for real, in  a fun practical 'hands on' simulation, what improved Supply Chain processes can deliver to your organisation?

Then the Beer Game is a great tool to use.

Benchmarking Success uses the Beer Game simulation to help businesses understand their Supply Chain. We have been doing this since 1993.

The Beer Game is a business simulation game created at MIT in the 1960s. It is a very good tool to demonstrate some of the key principles of supply chain management.

The Beer Game is played by teams of four players or more, and can become very competitive!

We play the beer game in a number of 'cycles' with a break to discuss the learnings and adapt the 'play'.

A debriefing session follows the beer game, to review the results of each team and discuss the lessons involved.

We have found that the beer game is a very good way to introduce non Supply Chain staff to some of the principles of Supply Chain Management and also to introduce people to the benefits of Sales and Operations Planning. (S&OP).

Here at Benchmarking Success, our core focus is on assisting businesses to improve their performance and we find the Beer Game a fun and valuable tool.
